A Trip to Kanba Falls (Kanba-no-taki)２
From the car park area – where there are a few cafes and souvenir shops for those looking for snacks/presents – it’s a 20 minute slow walk up to the waterfall, following the stream that leads from it, and with a few smaller waterfall formations along the route.
10 minutes in is the ticket office, which costs 300 yen (per adult, children 150yen).
By the office is also a sign that tells you whether or not the resident monkeys are around today.
From there it is another 5 minute walk until you can see the waterfall from the first bridge, and stare up at its grandeur.
Getting close takes another 5 minutes – with plenty of excellent photo opportunities along the way!
