Welcome to OPIEF
The Okayama Prefectural International Exchange Foundation was established in March 1991 through the combined efforts of the Okayama Prefectural Government, intraprefectural municipalities, various international Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and numerous businesses from the local private sector.

The foundation aims to actively pursue a wide range of exchange between the local Japanese and international communities. By assisting in academic and cultural studies, sports and commercial ventures, the OPIEF hopes to contribute to the process of making the region's people more internationally-minded, and in doing so promoting world peace and prosperity.
